Date Posted News 6-30-08 The Legends Cars made there first trip to the Midway this season as Dave Bauer grabbed the lead early and never looked back to capture the win with Dave Comer, Park Jones, Tony Hatfield and Kaleb Copher completing the top 5. Heat race winners were Tony Jensen, and Dave Bauer. Next race is this Saturday at Springfield Raceway. 6-16-08 Nevada Speedway hosted the Missouri Legends Cars last Saturday night as racing was very close with Park Jones edging out the win over Tony Hatfield. Rob Watson, and Justin Comer were in the mix all night finishing third and fourth with Tony Jensen rounding out the top five. Heat Race winners were Park Jones and Greg Cantrell. Next race is this Saturday June 21st at Springfield Raceway. 5-27-08 Springfield Raceway welcomed the Missouri Legends cars last Saturday night as father and son took the top two spots. Dave Comer started from his pole position and led every lap, with his son Justin Comer in hot pursuit, to win his first race of 2008. David Bauer made an impressive return to the legends cars, after taking two years off, with a strong 3rd place finish followed by hard charging Kaleb Copher with Tony Jensen rounding out the top five. Heat race winners were Dave Comer and Park Jones. Next race is this Saturday night May, 31st at Grain Valley Speedway. 5-12-08 the Missouri Legends cars rolled into Monett Speedway Sunday night with some close racing as Park Jones claimed his first feature win of the season. Jones, and Dave Comer started on the front row with Jones taking the lead only to give it up to Dave Comer late in the race, when he failed to race back to the caution flag. On the restart it was Dave Comer leading Jones into turn one with Justin Comer making a hard charge on the outside taking the second spot and challenging for the lead. With only three laps to go father and son ran door to door only to fall short as they tangled in turn four taking the checkered flag, opening the door for Jones to take the win followed by Rob Watson who ran strong all night. Brady Demeree with a solid third place finish was followed by Kaleb Copher and Dave Comer rounding out the top five. Heat race winners were Park Jones and Dave Comer. Bolivar Speedway is racing this Friday night May 16th on asphalt. Phil Harris of Motorcar carriers is paying for all drivers entry fees. Phil is also sponsoring $500 per race making the purse as follows 1st-$250, 2nd-$175, 3rd-$125, 4th-$75, 5th-$50, 6th-$25, 7th-$25, 8th-$25. The next dirt race is May 23rd at Lebanon Midway Speedway, and then the following night at Lebanon I-44 Speedway. 4-28-08 Due to rain, Friday nights race at Midway was canceled. The Missouri Legend Cars made there 1st start of the season Saturday night at Lebanon I-44 Speedway. Tanner Berryhill of Oklahoma jumped out to the early lead from the outside pole ,and never looked back in grabbing the win while the race for second was tight with Justin Comer, and Rob Watson. Park Jones and a fast moving Dave Comer rounded out the top 5. Heat race winners were J. Comer and T. Berryhill. Next race is Sunday April 11th at Monett Speedway.
