Date Posted News 10-17-08 The final point standinds are posted and latest race results. Congratulations to Justin Comer our 2008 champion. Justin was third in points going into the final race as he put on a dominating performance to not only win the championship, but take the final checkered flag of the season in first place. It was a tight battle all year for the top spot between both Dave and Justin Comer, and Park Jones. Jones settled for second in the standings as Dave Comer slipped to third on the final night due to a flat tire. Dave Bauer clawed his way to fourth after missing a few shows early in the season, and Tony Jensen rounded out the top five. Thanks everyone for your participation this season. Dave Comer started from his pole position and lead every lap to win his third feature of the season. Dave Bauer made a last lap move on the outside, but had to settle for second place followed closely by Kaleb Copher who was in the mix all night. Park Jones finished fourth, and Jason Rayle rallied from his fourteenth starting position to finish fith. Heat race winners were Dave Bauer and Justin Comer. Sunday night Monett Speedway hosted the Legends cars as Dave Bauer had a dominating performance winning his heat race then started outside the front row and cruised to his second win of the season. Park Jones started ninth and finished second followed by Jason Rayle who came over from asphalt and is making a nice transition to the dirt. Fourth place went to Tanner Berryhill who also pulls double duty from asphalt to dirt, and rounding out the top five was Justin Comer who had a strong run after getting spun earlier in the race and restarting in the back. Heat race winners were Tanner Berryhill and Dave Bauer. 7-08-08 It was an exciting night as the Legends cars headed to Springfield Raceway. Dave Comer won his second feature of the season followed closely by Park Jones, Dave Bauer, Justin Comer and Jason Rayle rounding out the top five. Heat Race winners were Justin Comer and Park Jones. Next Races are next weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway Saturday night and Monett Sunday night. 6-30-08 The Legends Cars made there first trip to the Midway this season as Dave Bauer grabbed the lead early and never looked back to capture the win with Dave Comer, Park Jones, Tony Hatfield and Kaleb Copher completing the top 5. Heat race winners were Tony Jensen, and Dave Bauer. Next race is this Saturday at Springfield Raceway. 6-16-08 Nevada Speedway hosted the Missouri Legends Cars last Saturday night as racing was very close with Park Jones edging out the win over Tony Hatfield. Rob Watson, and Justin Comer were in the mix all night finishing third and fourth with Tony Jensen rounding out the top five. Heat Race winners were Park Jones and Greg Cantrell. Next race is this Saturday June 21st at Springfield Raceway.
